Play, Make, Create!

This week for Play Make Create we listen to I'm sticking with you and It's about friendship, and they are a Bear and a Squirrel.

The hardest part was tying everything together because it cept on falling off.

I worked with Eli and Sol to complete this challenge.

We used Tarp, wood, potato sacks and Skiping ropes to make a hut

I would change skipping ropes to rope because I think it would work better.

Play, Make, Create

This week for Play, Make, Create we listened to Be You and it was about being yourself.

I worked alongside Cody the task that we did something we love and we created a poster of what we love.

The hardest part was coloring everything in and outlining everything with a sharpie.

What worked well was that I and Cody are good with our colors.

I would change the brown to white paper so the colors would pop.

Christian NumBots & TTRockstars Blog Post

Term 2, Week 1 2021

During Term 1 we have been practicing our addition and subtraction knowledge through the online program called NumBots.  At the start, it was super easy but progressively got more challenging.

I am now on Diamond level and I have finished all the challenging levels of NumBots.

I enjoy NumBots because it has been challenging my brain in addition and subtraction.

What I find challenging is getting past the last few levels because I’m not that good at adding up coins.

This week we have started TTRockstars.  This is an online program which helps us to learn our timetables.

I think that TTRockstars will be challenging because I will have to try and get faster at my division and times tables.

Up the creek play make create

Today we did play make create on up the creek book I worked with Miller.

And the hardest thing was drawing on the little stick with the red pen.

The easiest thing was taping everything on.

We made a compass and the sticks were to measure the depth of the water to navigate the Moose, Bear, and Beaver.

Whetu fun day reflection.

  Whetu Fun Day

Last Thursday we had a Whetu Fun Day as our camp was postponed.  Our teachers planned a fun day for us instead!  We participated in a Whetu Amazing Race, a range of different fun rotations, a BBQ lunch, and play on the council playground then we finished the day with an Easter Egg hunt and an ice block.

My favorite part of the Amazing Race was netball because I scored four points, and the aim was to get ten points.

The rotation I enjoyed the most was team games because we had to find the bean bags under cones. My team was Darius, Lachie, Franklin.

During the Easter Egg Hunt, I found my stick beside a newly planted tree. And I had to dive on it to get it.

My favorite part of the day was free play because we played touch. And I was Superman because I leaped to get a trie but they touched me before I put it and the ground.

Maths's mystery

Today we did a maths mystery about athletics, and I worked with Johan to solve the crime.
And the culprit was Mollie and the most challenging the coordinates because we didn't see the second row.
The easiest question was the maths one because I'm good at maths.

Play make create.

Today we did Play make create and I worked with Lachie and Darius.

We made a tent and a river we made it out of, Card, water, popsicle sticks, and a cone to transfer the water to the river and the popsicle sticks held up the card and we got a plastic pole to dig up the river and then we put the card in the hole so the dirt wouldn't soak up the water, and the card would soak it and then the card was soaked and then we put more water on and it didn't soak it up.

Were all equal

This week for Play, Make, Create we listen to We are all equal, it's a story about whether your big or small they have their advantages...
